Welcome to Nathalie!

Posted by / in Blog / No comments yet

We are very pleased to welcome our newest member of the Synergy team – Nathalie Hebrard, who has now been with us for 8 weeks.

Nathalie is a qualified dentist, having worked in a wide range of multidisciplinary healthcare settings including the NHS, community and charitable settings. Nathalie joined Synergy seeking a change of focus in her career and is particularly interested in exploring the impact of health systems on patient management and the development of communication approaches to optimise patient care and clinical outcomes.

Nathalie has already hit the ground running, getting involved in the day-to-day running of several project, conducting interviews and has been doing lots of travelling around the UK.

Nathalie and Ali, another member of the Synergy team, are also entering the BHBIA Newcomer competition next year… so watch this space!

Macmillan coffee morning at Synergy

Posted by / in Blog / No comments yet

On Friday, we held our belated Macmillan coffee morning in the office.

Everyone got involved with the baking, and we enjoyed Victoria sponge, lemon cakes, raspberry & coconut squares, chocolate & ginger tiffin and banana bread – although we couldn’t decide who was ‘star baker’!

We raised £112.59 for Macmillan and all gained a couple of inches on our waistlines.

Celebrating 10 years at Synergy

Posted by / in Blog / No comments yet

2014 is an important year here, with not one, not two, but four members of the team celebrating 10 years at Synergy this summer.

Aided by the lovely chefs at the Underground Cookery School, we spent an evening celebrating by preparing our own delicious 3-course meal, all helped along with a few glasses of prosecco and some tasty canapés.

To start, we made our own tagliatelle from scratch – kneading the dough and rolling and cutting it using the pasta machines. Some people liked the pasta machines so much they got a bit carried away with the rolling and ended up with tagliatelle about a metre long… It still tasted good when served with truffle oil though.

For our main course, we prepared and de-boned our own rumps of lamb (we still have all our fingers) before roasting and serving them in a red-wine sauce with potatoes and roast beetroot.

And finally, pudding… we may have had to pick a few bits of eggshell out of the mix following some interesting takes on splitting eggs, but once it had turned out, we had a delicious homemade chocolate torte and Chantilly cream.

Many congratulations to Betty-Ann, Lucy H, Kay and Ali H for 10 years service!
